Everyone wants to know if Zara is a neuroscientist and that is true but it's also a bit more layered than that. She has worked in growth and product marketing for health-tech and B2B startups, consulted for ed-tech nonprofits, volunteered at soup kitchens, and spent a year running a weekly science club for children aged 5–9.

Outside of work, she curates playlists with funny and oddly specific titles, thinks hot chocolate can be enjoyed without marshmallows, and is ready to talk all things tech, etymology, geopolitics, macroeconomics, or comparative religion. She is enamored by national parks, architecture of historic bridges and can be nerd-sniped by research in stem cells, organoids/assembloids and memory formation.

Interests include offensive security, running, nonfiction books, and the occasional short story.
